On June 13th, 2021 the GAA held an online celebration of the International Albinism Awareness Day (IAAD-2021). The recording of this event is available in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese on www.albinismday.com.
The GAA Team would like to thank once again all the organizations and individuals who contributed to making this event a success. It was inspiring to see short videos from 25 different groups from around the world reporting on their efforts to support those with albinism. Even a global pandemic can’t stop the work of all these groups serving the albinism community!
The online celebration also included three musical performances by artists with albinism, an inspiring message from outgoing UN Independent Expert on Albinism, IK Ero, and an interview with Antoine Gliksohn and Mike McGowan concerning the work of the Global Albinism Alliance Pilot.
